Things I’d forgotten, that I’ve remembered this week

1) How much sunscreen stings if it gets into your eyes – it’s been quite a while since I experienced this, in fact it’s been so long that I’m pretty sure it was called suntan lotion at the time…

2) How much fun it is to be so disconnected from the normal day-to-day routine that you have to ask someone what day it is…

3) How lovely it is not to wake up at the crack of dawn…

4) How odd it is to have ‘solar’ midday take place when my watch says 2pm (wondering whether this has some bearing on ‘3’ above)…

5) Home, even short term, is wherever you find people who share the same passions as you and who accept you (as you accept them) for just being who you are…

…to be continued (as I remember other things!)

With years of experience playing bass in a wide range of situations a dear friend once said that if you were to cut me in half you'd find the word 'bass' written all the way through - yes I know that's so cliche - but that doesn't make it any less true! Like so many people I have more than one 'day' job - but most of my work-time these days is spent working for Interconnected Solutions.
