More fun playing some new songs

Another list of songs I played with a band at a party a few months ago.

I’ve written before with a list of songs I’ve played at events and I was doing some work preparing a list for an upcoming event and came across a list we’d used for a recent party. A number of folk seem to have found the previous list helpful (thank you search engines) so I thought I would post this list here in case, it too, helps someone.

  • Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (Blues Brothers)
  • Lovely Day (Bill Withers)
  • Valerie (Amy Winehouse / Mark Ronson)
  • Mercy (Duffy)
  • Perfect (Fairground Attraction)
  • Jailhouse Rock (Elvis Presley)
  • Blue Suede Shoes (Elvis Presley)
  • I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) (The Proclaimers)
  • Rockin’ All Over The World (Live) (Status Quo)
  • We are family (Sister Sledge)
  • Johnny B. Goode (Chuck Berry)
  • I’m A Believer (The Monkees)
  • Dancing Queen (Abba)
  • Mamma Mia (Abba)
  • Waterloo (Abba)
  • Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top)
  • Rolling In The Deep (Adele)
  • Don’t Stop Believin’ (Journey)
  • Lean On Me (Bill Withers)

With years of experience playing bass in a wide range of situations a dear friend once said that if you were to cut me in half you'd find the word 'bass' written all the way through - yes I know that's so cliche - but that doesn't make it any less true! Like so many people I have more than one 'day' job - but most of my work-time these days is spent working for Interconnected Solutions.
